Entrepreneurship Vision: Increase the number of people who have the desire and the ability to build and sustain innovative enterprises.

Entrepreneurship Mission: To accelerate Entrepreneurship by focusing on world-class, innovative, research-based initiatives that leverage technology and other inputs that have the potential for national impact with special attention to high-growth opportunities.

THE OUTCOMES WE SEEK:
Adults are aware that entrepreneurship is a choice for their future and understand its importance to the people and global economies. Entrepreneurs have the knowledge, skills, networks, and values needed to grow innovative, sustainable enterprises that create jobs and wealth for people.

ENTREPRENEURSHIP STRATEGIES:

• Develop and fund programs, research and communications that encourage people of all ages to engage in, and be supportive of, entrepreneurship.

• Promote entrepreneurship as a legitimate field of study in higher education that is accessible to all students.

• Develop and fund programs and research that provide training and knowledge to increase the success of entrepreneurs at all stages, with emphasis on those with the highest probability of creating innovative, growing companies that provide jobs and contribute to economic growth.

• Develop and fund programs and research initiatives that close the gap in entrepreneurial success for underserved populations, such as women, and minorities.

• Provide knowledge and funding to intermediaries (policy makers, universities, investors, entrepreneurship support organizations, etc.) to better equip them to create an environment that fosters innovation and entrepreneurial success.

• Encourage successful entrepreneurs top give back to society.

We approach our work along a continuum starting with children and ending with successful entrepreneurs who give back to society.  We hope to encourage and prepare individuals in each segment to overcome obstacles and move closer to building innovative, growing companies.  While all segments play an important role in advancing entrepreneurship, we focus  on a few particular ones at a time.

We concentrate on implementing targeted and simultaneously investigate and experiment with future initiatives.  We follow a process that includes evaluation at each of the stages; discovery, analysis planning, action, scale, exit, and knowledge dissemination.  We continually evaluate initiatives, with an eye toward constant improvement, and if necessary, a change in direction that will further advance entrepreneurship.
